Kerstetter Counseling is owned by a husband and wife team (That's us!). Michael manages the heart of our practice as the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Pastor through the MN Assemblies of God. He received his Bachelor of Arts from NorthCentral University in Pastoral Studies and his Masters of Arts at Liberty University in Professional Counseling. He provides biblically grounded and clinically sound mental health care where his hope is for all clients to feel supported, encouraged, and equipped to find lasting hope and change. He is also part of the Midwest Association of Christian Counseling (MACC).
Michael's training includes certification in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. He has gained additional training/experience in Sand-Tray Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.
Emilee manages the mind of the practice as the administrator, ensuring each client feels welcomed and assisted from the very first contact. If you hear a friendly and vibrant voice when connecting with us, then chances are you are talking with Emilee! She acts as the engagement and communications lead for our practice, expanding our reach to help others in need. She has gained extensive experience in administration and was previously a licensed teacher.
